Hunkered Down

I want to apologize for the lack of posts this week.  As you all know, Hurricane Sandy came through the northeast and so like everyone else, I was without power and internet for almost a week.  While there has been extreme devastation, I think everyone has learned something from this whole experience and it will be a memory we will take with us for the rest of our lives.

To paint a picture of my Sandy story…as I mentioned last week, I was in the suburbs at my boyfriend’s mom’s house for her birthday weekend which kicked off with a great workout, wine and cheese and a nice dinner out.  Little did we know what we had in store for us in the next 24 hours… and that we were in the ‘burbs for the long haul.  Here are some photos from the week…

back to the city of no lights

We were extremely fortunate in the fact that we were not harmed and the house was not damaged.  This week really put things into perspective and made me realize how much we take for granted.  My heart goes out to anyone who was affected and if you would like to donate or volunteer, here is some helpful info.

Hope you are all safe and sound and enjoying the weekend!
